3 days in Delhi | how to make the most of it

Delhi, the capital of India has a rich history and culture. Visitors are always awed by the amazing juxtaposition of modernity and rich Indian culture of Delhi.

It has remnants of mosques, forts, gardens of Mughal era. And the best places where you will find the multicultural flavor of Delhi are the markets.

Over the years, influx of migrants is on the rise in the capital,  in this article I’ll tell you about how I made the most of my short Delhi stay.

I had been to Delhi in 2012 for 3 days and would like to share my experience and journey, in which I made the most of my visit in 3 days.

I had travelled to Delhi from Mumbai through Rajdhani Express Train and took a flight for returning. I booked both from MakeMyTrip. not only this, I Also booked my hotel from MakeMyTrip and hired a car locally from one of my uncle’s friend.

Delhi is the capital city of India and has a lot of historical and heritage sites because it was the capitol of the mughals when they ruled India. You will find all political and historical places here as well. The infrastructure is good but traffic is a chaos. Listed below were my three days itinerary in the city.

Food

Karimis near Jama Masjid is very famous and you shouldn’t miss it for anything.  The food that you will have here will not be able to find it anywhere else in the world.

Mughal foods, Chaat and parathas at Chandni Chowk is must for all food lovers

You can love it, you can hate it, but you can never ignore it. Delhi is one city that has it all – the good, the bad, the ugly and the awesome! You might have heard of Delhi for all kinds of reasons – politics, festivals, crime, and many others. However, there is always a lot more to it than what meets the eye, so make sure you pay a visit to this capitol once in your lifetime.

I would add hanging around at Khan Market, Janpath for shopping, SArojini Nagar Market for shopping, Delhi Haat for trying no food from all over India, India Habitat Centre for an exhibition or performance etc. There is so much to do in Delhi.
