I visited Goa in 2014. This time I planned the trip and itinerary myself , everything from flight to hotel to places of attraction that I had to visit
I had booked a resort on Baga Beach from Expedia and a flight from MakeMyTrip. I booked one month in advance so i got a great deal due to festival offers. The trip was of 2N/ 3D. Always book your hotel or private villa on or around Baga beach as it is the centre of tourist attraction.
Goa is ranked as the Party hub of India and is very popular amongst youngsters. You will find tourists flocking in from all over the world all year around, specially for New years. Best time to visit is from October to April as water sports are available at this time.
Major Tourist Attractions – In order to enjoy the Goa – Hire a scooter or car according to your choice but if you are just a couple then prefer taking a scooter as accessing every place is easy on two wheels. Hiring a scooter is very easy. You will get outside your hotel. Just submit your original photo ID , pay the rent which is Rs 300-400 for a scooter per day and you are ready to go.
There are lots of beaches in Goa which one can visit and I have listed the best beaches that you must visit and you can skip the others if you want.
- Baga Beach
- Calangute Beach
- Agonda beach
- Palolem beach
- Candolim beach
Fort Aguada – This is a fort.
Old Goa – Here what you will see Old Goa and very beautiful locations. Some points of interest are Basilica of Bom Jesus, Se Cathedral, Church of St Cajetan.
Dudhsagar Falls – This waterfall is very big and worth seeing but it’s very far from Baga beach and a tiring one. If you have seen waterfalls at other places in your life than you may skip else if you have time and nothing to do than do give it a try.
Panjim City – goa’s capital. Market, shopping area. Yes, don’t forget to drop in any one of Casinos. Goa is the only state in India to have casinos. All Casinos are in cruises. So go and try your luck. Deltin is the most famous one. They give you a free bet when you purchase a ticket.
Food – You will find almost all types of cuisines from India and the world. You can always drop by a pure Goan restaurant to taste the local foods which are very delicious. Goan Prawn curry is the most famous one.
People – People are friendly in nature. They are very chilled out and as there are so many tourists who come with a mindset of relaxing and partying . You will find a very colourful atmosphere here.
I can visit this place again and again. Best place if to unwind and relax.
