Phuket – A Tropical Getaway

We had been planning to visit Phuket since a long time We had also booked the trip once and cancelled due to personal emergencies. Finally we made it this time, PHUKET !!!! As always we planned this trip on our own and it was 3N/4 Days trip. We also visited Bangkok (We will share details in another post). This post will cover how you can plan a budget trip and save unnecessary cost and also what to see when you visit this place.

Let me tell you that if you stay here even for 1 week or long, you won’t regret but if you are short of time then you can follow our journey. We have broken down the post into different categories which are as follows

Season: The peak season is from October to February as most of you might be aware but if you want to save cost and avoid too much crowd then June is the best time and so we picked the same.

Flight: We looked for different offers from direct to indirect and booked accordingly. First book your return flights from Mumbai to Bangkok then book Bangkok to Phuket returns flights. There are low cost airlines domestically like NOk air, Vietjet Air, Air Asia. By following this pattern you will save good money because return fares are always cheaper than single fare.

Accomodation: There are plenty of hostels, Hotels and resorts in Phuket. They have a great deal. Just look for offers at travel portals. Make sure you book your hotel in any of the following place like Patong, Karon or Kata. They are more happening and you will save time and money in travelling.

Travel: Travelling is expensive in Phuket and there is no public transport except Bus which also covers few places. Taxi or TukTuk could cost you too much. So the best option is to Hire Bike. It’s very cheap from THB 250-300 per day. Also if you are travelling alone or couple from Airport to any of the above places then look for a Mini-van just outside the airport. They operate on shared basis and it will be economical but if you are a family then Taxi is better.
